Published Delta 2024 audited report underscores Oborevwori’s transparency – Bureau DG

… Says coalition of political parties can’t stop Tinubu, Oborevwori in 2027

The recently published 2024 audited report of Delta State Government in national newspapers underscores Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s unwavering commitment to sustain confidence in public service and governance.

Director General of Delta State Bureau for Communications and Orientation, Barrister Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, made the assertion on Thursday, during a public affairs radio program monitored in Asaba, the state capital.

He commend the State Commissioner for Finance, Chief Fidelis Tilije, over strict implementation of the watertight automated accounting system introduced by the governor, assuring that Oborevwori administration will continue to focus on result oriented socioeconomic remodelling, infrastructure development, peace building and enhanced security that is anchored on transparency and accountability.

Barrister Oghenesivbe said the State government executed plethora of infrastructural projects in both urban and rural communities, cutting across Trunk A, B and C roads including; the 143 kilometre Ughelli-Asaba highway dualization, ongoing construction of three mega flyovers in strategic locations, and also allocated and released billions of Naira for infrastructure development across the 25 local government areas, among others, while 277,000 Deltas benefited from social welfare and empowerment under D-CARES programmes.

And on 2027 elections, and the recent wave of coalition of political parties, Oghenesivbe assured that governor Oborevwori scoreboard would resonate at the polls, saying that his achievement in two years far exceeded expectations of the people, and that the next two years would surpass the governor’s achievements in the first tenure midterm which was celebrated across the state.

The Bureau Chief stated that in the last two years and counting, governor Oborevwori showcased his capacity to build a new Delta that guarantees opportunity for all in his quest to advance the state beyond 2027, noting that the governor’s unblemished performance in two years earned him several national Awards including; Best Governor of the Year, Best Governor in Infrastructure Development, and Best Governor in Good Governance, respectively.

When asked on spread of development in the state, and the recent agitations by some people in Udu local government area of the state, the Bureau Chief disclosed that the governor’s leadership style is premised on actions and inactions that are beneficial to all Deltans across the three senatorial districts, pointing out that governor Oborevwori abhores decisions and actions that is repugnant to natural justice, equity and good conscience.

He quoted the Commissioner for Works (Rural and Public Information), Charles Aniagwu, as saying during a recent press briefing that several road projects are either ongoing or completed in Udu local government area, including the Aladja Floating Market consisting of 220 shops, designed for both day and night markets with super illumination.

The Director General of Delta State Bureau for Communications, assured that coalition of political parties will not be potent in Delta State, assuring that President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori will sweep the polls in 2027, citing good governance, prudent management of public resources and commitment to economic growth and development as the basis for their foreseeable resounding victory.

“The published 2024 audited account of Delta State Government attests to the flawless accountability and transparent leadership of governor Sheriff Oborevwori. It shall be sustained.

“Deltans are happy, and satisfied with the enviable performance of our amiable governor. Coalition of political parties or no coalition, President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori are well positioned to win the forthcoming presidential and governorship elections effortlessly in Delta State,” Oghenesivbe assured.
