Rep Abejide Donates N10 Million to Orokere-Amuro; Community Leaders Pledge Accountability

Amuro (Kogi), June 2, 2026 The Orokere-Amuro Welfare Association, OWA, has expressed profound gratitude to Rt. Hon. Elder Joseph Leke Abejide, Member of the House of Representatives representing Yagba Federal Constituency, for his generous donation of Ten Million Naira (₦10,000,000.00) toward community development.
In a letter of appreciation dated June 2, 2026, and signed by the President-General, Comrade Olusegun S. Peter, the association on behalf of His Royal Highness, Oba Michael Arogbonlo, the Traditional Council of Chiefs, and the entire Sons and Daughters of Orokere-Amuro Community, commended Abejide for the donation.

OWA described the gesture as a testament to Rep. Abejide’s unwavering commitment, selfless service, and enduring dedication to the growth and welfare of communities within his constituency.
The association noted that the lawmaker’s benevolence has once again demonstrated his passion for improving the lives of the people and fostering sustainable community development.
The association said the donation is both timely and significant, and will positively impact ongoing developmental initiatives in Orokere-Amuro.
OWA assured the lawmaker that the fund will be judiciously utilized for its intended purpose in a transparent and accountable manner to achieve meaningful and lasting benefits for the community.
The association prayed that Almighty God will continue to bless Rep. Abejide with good health, wisdom, strength, and greater opportunities to serve humanity, adding that his efforts toward community development and nation-building will continue to yield abundant fruits.
Rep. Abejide has been known for consistent constituency interventions in Yagba Federal Constituency, with projects spanning education, healthcare, infrastructure, and community empowerment.
