Reverend Atu Retires from Active Service.
The Former Acting Assistant General Secretary of the Evangelical Church Winner All , Reverend Samuel Atu retired from the Church.
The Retirement service took Place in Lamingo, Gwafan District of Jos North Local Government Area,
In his exhortation,ECWA President, Reverend Stephen Panya Baba who took his texts from the books of Isaiah 46:10,Acts13:36, Eclessiastis 8:1 and Romans 12:1-2.

Titled Finishing well in the ministry of God.
He charged the Congregation to leave a life that will always please God,you must know God very well if you want to finish well.
King David was a standard of measuring Good deed because he Excel in his ministry as a Prophet of God. He was nobody but a shepherd Boy that was forgotten but by God’s providence and designed,he was brought on the throne of nation of Israel and he did not only became king but also one of the most outstanding prophet of God.
King David was faithful to God and his Father that’s why he excel in his ministry of God.
The Celebrant was also faithful in the Ministry of God and God gave him victory to end well, as a righteous man,there are trouble he faced but delivered him.
Reverend Panya said what Satan is using to destroy Church of God is envy,Jealousy and self interest,if not me or my family everything should be scattered.
He Decried the attitudes of some believers that are writing petitions against one another .
Envy and jealousy are powerful destruction forces that are destroying the Church deeply and need to be stopped,when you allow your life to be driven by self interest and jealousy,you will destroy many people and if you don’t repent,at the end you will be destroyed.
He also caution those that always make Servants of God their enemies will be frustrated,whatever God has planned,no power on earth or under the earth can stop it.
Said we are here today to celebrate Victory of Reverend Atu and his Family,it is a double celebration for the family Reverend Samuel Atu and his Younger brother, Professor Danladi Atu who just exit office as the Secretary to the Government of the state.
The Retirement service was a huge success with attendance of people from far and near,among those in attendance are Hon. Danjuma Azi,member representing Jos North West Constituency,Hon. Musa Ashom,Commissioner for Information and Communication,Agwom Izere,Ada Isaac Azi Wakili,Ada Emmanuel Ajik,Adagwom Jos Izere Chiefdom, among other dignitaries.
Unlike the adage that says” a prophet has no honour in his Home town” Reverend Atu was cheerfully received not only by his people of Gwafan District but all and sundry were elated to rejoice with him especially his jovial and humble disposition that he Is known for.
There was cutting of the retirement cake by the family and other well wishers.
