Sanitation Defaulters To Face Punitive Measures in Plateau state.
The Plateau State Environmental Sanitation and Protection Agency (PEPSA) General Manager,Mr. Samuel Dapiyel has read riot act on the Defaulters of the Monthly Sanitation Exercise in the state.
The GM frowned at those that are claiming ignorance and intentionally refused to cleaning their surroundings and business premises during the Sanitation period.
Mr. Dapiyel who led the team of monitoring team to enforce the order at Gangare and the popular Yandoya market in Jos North Level local Government Area,the Marketers and the residents of the area when sighted the team were apprehensive in his swift reaction,the GM called on all of them to be calm and clean their market place and their residents, according to him, cleanliness of the market can attract customers from near and far, according to him,the Administration of Governor Caleb Mutfwang is so determined and committed to keep Jos and it’s environs clean, He meticulously took his time to create awareness to all of them and the crow were so elated with the charisma and dexterity of the GM for his magnanimity and they promised him to turn over a new lead and keep the market tidy all the time.At Gadan Bako bridge,the filthiness of the area was alarming and the GM instructed his Staff to ensure the entire refuse in the area is evacuated in order to avoid outbreak of epidemic.
The other Places visited includes Angwan Rukuba,Bauchi Road,Farin Gada Market.
At the Market,people were seen transacting their normal business activities shunning the Sanitation,the team confiscated some valuables and arrested some defaulters and were tried at various mobile courts that were stationed in strategies places.
The Team concluded the tour at the Hill station Roundabout.
The GM was accompanied by the Management Committee Chairman of Jos North,GM of the Jos Metropolitan Development Board(JMDB), The Head of Service, Commissioners, Permanent Secretaries and other Government officials.
