SECURE’24 DEEP REFLECTION ON THE JUST CONCLUDED PDP CHAIRMANSHIP PRIMARIES.
“Power to the people” is the resonating slogan of our great party, but unfortunately the power is fast being withdrawn from the people by a small group of opportune individuals exploiting their closeness to the government of the day to derail the goodwill of His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Muftwang has garnered and is enjoying.
The just concluded primaries which turned out to be a selection process by a few has dampen the spirit of most party faithfuls on how to fit in as the menacing cabal is seriously undermining the efforts of party men who aspired for the Chairmanship primaries across the state, where delegates were disenfranchised through unlawful substitutions of their names from the voters list.
This act of subterfuge went sour in Quan’pan LGA where the culprit was beaten to a pulp because of the pulsating emotions of the voters shortchanged, this shows the level of disenchantment in the hearts of the majority of members in the party. This is a clarion call to our indefatigable governor, His Excellency Barr. Caleb Muftwang and the party leadership not to lose guide by allowing some unscrupulous individuals to trample on the integrity of members(aspirants especially)who spent their hard earned resources and time to rally faithfuls in portraying and building the visibility of PDP in Plateau state, which happens to be the only state governed by our great party in the North Central Zone.
I am calling on my fellow aspirants to close ranks with the candidates that emerged in the contested primary so that we give our beloved party a resounding victory in the 9th October secondary election to the glory of God and the good works of His Excellency, Barr Caleb Manasseh Muftwang. I besiege the party leadership, Mr Governor and the Chairmanship candidates to rally round all Chairmanship/Councillorship aspirants to give all a sense of belonging in the patronage of their inputs as the party rises to better and greater heights. May God and the peoples will always be heard and done in all Peoples Democratic Party endeavours in building a lasting fraternity.
P.S
Let me seize this opportunity to once more appreciate my fellow aspirants for the goodwill we shared during campaigns with elections, party faithfuls and the good people of Jos East for acceptability and blessings, members of my campaign team and supporters, and finally but not the least, my wife and family members for the inconvenience I put you through and support you showered me in return. Congratulations Chief Markus Usaini Nyam(JP), PDP candidate, Jos East LGA. Thank you and God bless you all.
Amos Kaze Izang
