Security: Sector D Command of KSVS Meets in Mopa, Commends and Task Officers
The Sector D Command of Kogi State Vigilante Service (KSVS) has commended its officers on their gallantry and responsivenes to avert insecurity and maintain the security of the domain and beyond.
The Sector Commander, Supritendent of Vigilante Service (SPV), Wole Ajulo, in charge of Kabba/Bunu, Ijumu, Mopamuro, Yagba East and Yagba West made this known when presiding on the periodic sectoral meeting with Staff Officers of the KSVS in Mopa on Wednesday
SPV Ajulo emphasized the need and importance for officers to respect protocol in discharging their duties, adding that these are part of the strategies that have added to successes achieved so far by the sector.
Stressing on discipline, he called on the officers not to be careless about their intermediary status, as they are closer to the community than other security outfits. He added that they should take importantly, their intermediary role to gather more security intelligence for the welfare of the people and the peace of the environment.
He charged the officers to be more active in their duties to identify their distinction from other security outfits, which will help them to command more respect and achieve more.
He also called them to be more vigilant and scare away criminals to maintain the relative peace and security of the terrain.
Commandant of Ijumu LG, SPV Malik James urges officers to be religious with their respective duties and assured them of welfare under the incumbent administration.
In the same vein, SPV Ajulo commends the administration of Governor Ododo for the welfare of KSVS, and the generallity of Kogi State so far assures that the service will not disappoint Kogites and the governor in maintenance of peace and order.
SPV Elijah Olusegun, Yagba East Commandant, in his remark, calls for more cooperation of the entire KSVS for effective delivery, administration, and management.
DSV Alabi Korede, Yagba West Commandant, calls the officers to imbibe the fear of God in discharging their duties, and they should shun over familiarity with other senior officers and they shouldn’t misuse the privileges.
SPV Abubakar Samuel, Kabba-Bunu Commandant; had the opening prayer while ASV I, Tahir Suleiman, had the closing prayer.
They also commended the State Commandant, Comodore A.M. Adinoyi, and the State Security Adviser for their effort in security so far.
