Sen. Barau’s foundation releases list of beneficiaries of foreign scholarships

Barau Jibrin Foundation (BIJF), established by the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator (Dr) Barau I Jibrin, has released the list of the first batch of its 2024 foreign postgraduate scholarships in artificial intelligence, robotics technology, cybersecurity and forensic science.
Senator Barau, who is the First Deputy Speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament, established the foundation to provide humanitarian, educational and empowerment initiatives in the country.
A statement issued by the Special Adviser to Senator Barau on Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir, on Thursday said the foundation has secured admissions for the deserving students from the three Senatorial Districts of Kano State (Kano Central, Kano North and Kano South Senatorial Districts) to pursue Postgraduate Programmes abroad.
The statement said the scholarship programme was conceived as part of the Deputy President of the Senate’s efforts to promote academic excellence and stimulate the country’s technological advancement.
