Sen. Dino is more a Kabba lover than your group, Erukutu replies Kabba Elites Forum

A Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Kabba born US based entrepreneur, Prince Elijah Ibinaiye has reacted to a purported press statement signed by one unknown group called Kabba Elites Forum (KEF), issued and published in some online blogs wherein it was alleged that Senator Dino Melaye is a greatest enemy of Kabba community because of the newly established Kogi State University in Kabba.

He said he would have not bothered to respond to the disjointed and politically motivated press statement but to keep the unsuspecting reading public abreast of the position of the party Governorship candidate for November 11 election in Kogi state.

He noted that it is a known fact that Senator Dino Melaye remains one of the strongest advocates of having a University in Kabba/Okun land in the last sixteen years immediately he was elected to represent Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency in the lower Chamber of the National Assembly in 2007.
Again, he singlehandedly sponsored a bill to upgrade the College of Agriculture, ABU, Kabba to a full fledged Federal University of Agriculture in the 8th Senate and it will be noted that the said bill was passed but could secure the President’s assent under President Mohammadu Buhari.

He further stressed that the KEF though not known and its President by name Mr John Adewale, that it would have been good for those behind the group to unveil their identify for the general public to know and assess, pointing out that Senator Dino Melaye has more properties in Kabba metropolis than many of them who claimed to be members of the group.

Erukutu said everyone should feel free to campaign for his or her candidate instead of embarking on campaign of calumny to gain cheap political popularity and destroy other candidates,. He noted that Senator Melaye remain a true lover of not only Kabba community, but Okunland, Kogi West and the entire state.

He said Senator Melaye is a true lover of good things, hence he cannot be said that he is not happy about the recent development of the establishment of the state owned University in Kabba, rather he has assured the people of the state that with him as the Governor in Lugard house in Lokoja, all state institutions including the KSU, Kabba will receive adequate attention that will position them to compete favourably with other higher institutions globally.
