Senator Barau Jibrin Strengthens APC with Influx of Defectors from NNPP

In a significant political development, Senator Barau Jibrin, the Deputy Senate President, has been instrumental in bolstering the strength of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State. Over the past weeks, he has been tirelessly receiving defectors from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and other opposition parties, both in Abuja and his hometown, Kano. This wave of defections marks a major shift in the political landscape, with many former Kwankwasiyya members pledging their allegiance to the APC.

The APC in Kano has seen a considerable influx of defectors, a testament to the persuasive efforts of Senator Barau. Among those who have recently joined the APC are prominent figures like Askarawa Kwankwasiyya from Dawakin Kudu Local Government Area and Alhaji Aminu Ibrahim Gogori, the former chairman of Bagwai Local Government Area.
