Senator Karimi Urges APC Supporters to Avoid Divisive Posts, Focus on Tinubu’s Re-election
Senator Sunday Karimi, representing Kogi West Senatorial District, has called on APC supporters and social media users to refrain from making inflammatory statements that could deepen division within the party.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Karimi thanked supporters and APC faithful in Kogi West and across Nigeria for their “unwavering love, prayers, and support” since the beginning of his tenure.
“I want to take this opportunity to thank all my supporters and APC faithfuls in Kogi West in particular, as well as across Nigeria, for your unwavering love, prayers, and support up to this point,” he said.
The senator appealed to those active on social media to focus their posts on his representation and achievements over the past three years rather than comments that could sow discord.
“Sincerely, I appeal to those of you who are active on social media to kindly refrain from making inflammatory statements that could sow division or discord within our party and among our leaders. Instead, let every post about me highlight my representation and achievements over the past three years serving our community,” Karimi stated.
He said his recent meeting with the governor was “very enlightening” and reinforced the need for the party to prioritize the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all APC candidates in the upcoming general elections.
“Let’s work together to strengthen our community, party, and the APC, and avoid being swayed by sentiments that could cause unnecessary tension,” he added.
Karimi expressed confidence that with continued support, the party and the community would keep moving forward.
“Once again, I sincerely appreciate your support, and I am confident that with your continued backing, we will keep moving our community and our party forward,” he said.
The statement was signed with the hashtag #RenewedHope, aligning with the APC’s campaign theme ahead of the 2027 polls.
