Senator Musa Garba Mai Doki’s Developmental Strides in Kebbi South Senatorial Zone: A Beacon of Hope for the People. Part three (3)

Senator Musa Garba Mai Doki, representing the Kebbi South Senatorial District at the Red Chamber, has been a tireless advocate for the development and well-being of his constituents. In a remarkable demonstration of commitment to community development, Senator Mai Doki has embarked on several impactful projects across various Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the district.
One of his notable achievements is the construction of modern medical laboratories in two critical locations: the General Hospital Dirin Daji in Sakaba LGA and Wara in Ngaski LGA. These laboratories are expected to enhance healthcare delivery by providing essential diagnostic services, thereby reducing the need for residents to travel long distances for medical tests. The establishment of these laboratories is a significant step toward improving the overall healthcare infrastructure in Kebbi South.
In addition to healthcare, Senator Mai Doki has addressed the pressing need for clean water in the region. He has facilitated the provision of hand pump boreholes in Zuru, which has been a longstanding request from the community. The boreholes will provide a reliable source of clean water, alleviating the challenges associated with water scarcity in the area. Recognizing the unique water table issues in Yauri, the Senator is also working on providing motorized boreholes, ensuring that all parts of his district have access to clean and safe drinking water.
The educational sector has not been left out in Senator Mai Doki’s development agenda. He recently oversaw the rehabilitation of classroom blocks at Dantudu Gomo Primary School in Zuru, Kebbi State. The improved learning environment is expected to boost the morale of both students and teachers, contributing to better educational outcomes.
Furthermore, Senator Mai Doki has shown deep concern for the victims of banditry in Kebbi South. Through the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), he has facilitated the provision of relief materials to internally displaced persons (IDPs) across the district. This intervention has provided much-needed support to those affected by the ongoing security challenges.
The Senator’s concern for the security situation in Kebbi South is evident in his relentless efforts to curb banditry in the region. Deeply moved by the devastating impact of banditry, Senator Mai Doki has been vocal in urging the federal government and security agencies to intensify their efforts to restore peace. His advocacy has led to the establishment of Forward Operating Bases (FOBs) in Dankolo, Sakaba LGA, and Wasagu, Danko-Wasagu LGA, aimed at countering banditry incursions from neighboring Zamfara State. Moreover, Senator Mai Doki is currently pushing for the conversion of the Zuru airstrip into an Air Force Forward Operating Base (FOB). This strategic move is intended to provide adequate air cover to ground troops and disrupt the supply routes of the bandits.
In a bid to further support educational advancement, Senator Mai Doki is actively working with the Federal Ministry of Education to secure proper funding for the Federal University of Agriculture, Zuru. His efforts are geared towards transforming the institution into a center of excellence that will contribute to the socio-economic development of the region.
The Senator’s contributions extend beyond infrastructure and security; he has also rehabilitated mosques and schools across Kebbi South Senatorial District, ensuring that both spiritual and educational needs are met. Additionally, he is committed to addressing the district’s water challenges by providing more boreholes, with a particular focus on areas like Yauri that face unique water table issues.
Recognizing the importance of infrastructure to economic development, Senator Mai Doki has been a strong advocate for the reconstruction of the Birnin Yauri – Rijau – Zuru road. He is working closely with the federal government to ensure that this critical project becomes a reality, complementing the ongoing efforts of the Kebbi State government on the Koko – Dabai road.
In his bid to empower the youth and improve agricultural productivity, Senator Mai Doki has initiated training programs and provided empowerment tools for young people in the district. He has also facilitated the timely provision of fertilizers to farmers, thereby boosting agricultural output in the region.
The people of Kebbi South Senatorial District have come out en masse to commend Senator Musa Garba Mai Doki for his unwavering commitment to their welfare. His efforts have brought about tangible improvements in healthcare, education, water supply, security, and infrastructure, making him a beacon of hope for the people of Kebbi South. As he continues to advocate for the needs of his constituents, there is widespread optimism that even greater achievements lie ahead under his leadership.
