Senator Smart Adeyemi CON Bags Democracy Newsline Newspaper Ambassadorial Award
The immediate past Senator of Kogi West Senatorial District in the 9th Senate, after previous stints in the 6th and 7th Senate in the same capacity, Senator Smart Adeyemi has bagged the Democracy Newsline Newspaper Ambassadorial Award.
In a press statement signed by the Publisher, Chief Olugbemi Femi, on behalf of the management and made available to newsmen in Abuja, he described Senator Adeyemi as a great Nigerian who has made monumental impact as a former two term National President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists before he was elected into the red chamber on three occasions.
He said the Ambassador Award is on the recommendation of a team of experts who conducted a credible opinion polls wherein he emerged as the first Nigerian to be honored with the kind of award by the organization in its 14 years of existence.
He stated that the Award program is an annual event wherein individuals and organizations that have distinguished themselves in their chosen careers and sectors of operations are being recognized as such and given Special Recognition Awards to encourage them to do more for the nation and humanity.
He stressed that the Award of Honor is given by an arm of Michabifem Ventures Limited, Publishers of Democracy Newsline Newspaper and online blog bridging the gap between the government and its citizens as guaranteed by the international laws and 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended being a member of the Fourth Estate of the Realm.
He added that the presentation will be held on the 9th October, 2024 at the Banquet Hall of the National Merit House, Abuja by 10am prompt.
