Senator Sunday Karimi Charges New Fire Service Boss, Olumode to Deliver on Mandate at Decoration Ceremony
Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, representing Kogi West Senatorial District, attended the swearing-in ceremony of Dr. Olumode Samuel Adeyemi as the 5th Controller General of the Federal Fire Service of Nigeria. Senator Karimi appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Dr. Adeyemi and for his continuous support for infrastructure development, appointments, human capacity building, and efforts to establish the Renewed Hope Agenda in Kogi State.
The Senator also commended the President’s investments in ensuring the Fire Service delivers on its mandate to safeguard lives and properties by preventing and controlling fires, as well as responding to other emergencies.
Senator Karimi charged the new Fire Service boss: “Our people yearn for growth and development. They want good, fire-free roads and quality fire infrastructure in the country. As a people, we know the importance of this agency in Nigeria, especially at the grassroots where fire incidents occur frequently. I am confident that you will not only deliver on this mandate but also take the agency to greater heights.”
Dr. Olumode Samuel Adeyemi is an indigene of Appeh-Bunu in Kabba-Bunu Local Government of Kogi State, a committed public servant who has devoted his life to the service of the country.
