Senator Tunde Ogbeha Hails Appointment of Maigari of Lokoja
The Chairman of the Cable Network News and Lakpini of Lokoja, Senator Tunde Ogbeha, has hailed the appointment of His Royal Highness, Alhaji Gambo Ibrahim Maikarfi, as the Maigari of Lokoja.
Senator Ogbeha, who described the announcement of Maikarfi as the fourth successor of his Dynasty as the beginning of a new epoch that would lead to the development of Lokoja, the capital of Kogi State and its environs.
The former Military Governor of Akwa Ibom and Bendel States hailed the Maigari as a traditional leader who loved the people of Lokoja and has always worked towards harmony and continuous peaceful co-existence in the community.

He counseled the Maigari “to reign with the fear of God and justice by ensuring continued peace, unifying the people and avoiding partisan politics.
“Rule with the wisdom of Solomon, the courage of David, as well as the sacrifice and humility of Prophet Mohammed,” Senator Ogbeha further charged the Maigari.
According to him, the people of Lokoja would make huge gains from the vast experience of the new traditional ruler in all facets of life.
Senator Ogbeha noted that “this appointment of the Maigari was long awaited by his people adding however that the announcement could not have come at a better time.
“As a people, we have been waiting for this appointment. But it could not have come at a better time than now.
“We rejoice with the Maigari and pray that his reign would herald development, prosperity and greater unity,” he added.
