  1. SHADY POLITICAL DEALS : NOT MY WAY OF LIFE

Insinuation about my name has gone haywire. No wonder the saying that “uneasy lies the head that wears the crown”. A lot of hues and cries have gone to the town to soil my name. *I am Dr. Bolufemi Olarotimi*. I am who l am, very solid, and gallantly standing by His grace.

My sojourn into politics was neither planned by Yahaya Bello/Edward Onoja nor did the duo wield any political influence on me. *It’s presently being rumoured that the duo of Yahaya Bello/Edward Onoja sponsored me to PDP to ease the renewal of the APC in Lugard House*. This allegation is to whittle down my rising political profile.

l hereby state categorically without any equivocation that my entrance into the gubernatorial race of Kogi state is borne out of my personal conviction and desire to lead and to salvage my people from their present economic woes. I plan to embark on a radical socio-economic development of Kogi state bringing to bare my experience and relying very heavily on my ability to tap into the abundant human and mineral resources in the state to actualize my developmental dreams.

I have no hands in any shady political deals. Yahaya Bello/Edward Onoja are never part of my political package. At a time in history, l was a Contractor to the state government from the time of Governor Ibrahim Idris which was sustained throughout Captain Wada’s administration and up to the first tenure of Yahaya Bello. To now interpret that to mean that Governor Bello sent me to contest and emerge as a candidate in PDP is not only a bogus lie, but a miscalculated attempt to score a cheap political goal.

To my teeming supporters and admirers, l remain committed and resolute in our present political struggles. I have not stepped down for anybody. *Nobody sent me to PDP to contest election. The decision is solely my own. I will never let you down. Invest your vote in me, and Kogi state shall be great again.

Dr. Bolufemi Olarotimi
PDP Governorship Aspirant.
