Steel Minister, Prince Shuaibu Audu Receives Courtesy Visit from Former Kogi Deputy Governor, Chief Edward Onoja
The Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, received a courtesy visit from Chief Edward David Onoja, former Deputy Governor of Kogi State and Board Member of the South East Development Commission, at his office in Abuja on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.
In a statement signed by the SA Media and Publicity to the Honourable Minister, Lizzy Okoji and made available to newsmen in Abuja.
According to her, during the visit, Chief Onoja commended the Minister for his efforts in reviving the Ajaokuta Steel Plant and repositioning Nigeria’s steel sector as a driver of national development.
He expressed confidence in the Minister’s leadership and pledged support for advancing critical infrastructure projects in Kogi State, particularly Kogi East.
The meeting was attended by the Managing Director of Ajaokuta Steel Company Limited, Prof. Abdusalam Nasir Naeem, and members of Chief Onoja’s delegation.
The Minister’s initiatives aim to boost the steel industry and contribute to national development. The visit highlights the importance of collaboration and support in driving progress in the sector.
