SUPREME COURT JUDGMENT: Continue Your Good Works – Okun Journalists Congratulates Gov. Ododo

Forum of Okun Media Practitioners has charged Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State to continue his good works of delivering good governance to the people of the state.

The forum made this known in a statement on Saturday in Lokoja at the sideline of the Supreme Court Judgment that affirmed Ododo”s victory as the rightful winner of the November 2023 governorship election as declared by Independent National Electoral Commission.

“Your Excellency, you have shown yourself as a refined person, and your candour and confidence has reflected in your style of governance. Now that the legal battles are over, we urge you to work harder to turn around the fortunes of the state in the key sectors of economy.”

The bishop also called on the opposition parties and political office holders to allow Ododo perform adding that there should be unity of purpose in order to ensure success of the administration and the development of the state.

The forum also call the governor to monitor his cabinet and ensure their productivity in moving the state forward, stressing that, there must not be room for indolence.

Your Excellency, no doubt, you have started well but this is not the time to listen to Kogites who specialized in singing empty praises of political leaders while in office only to turn around and criticize them after leaving power. We therefore urged you to remain focus and continue on your path of true leadership – leadership is for true service and not for personal aggrandizement; therefore, continue with your good works without minding the hurdles you scaled before reaching this point, nor consider the political attacks that greeted your candidacy.
End.
