Taufiq Lauds Okun United for Ododo Support Group
The Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Area double as the Kogi State ALGON Chairman, Alhaji Isah Taufiq has lauded the efforts of the Okun United for Ododo/Joel Support Group to galvanize all available resources to secure majority votes of the Okun people in favor of the Governorship candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress in Kogi State, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman and Comrade Joel Oyibo Salisu come November 11 election.
The Council Boss disclosed this when the group paid him a courtesy visit at his country home in Odokoro – Gbede in Ijumu local government area.

According to him, he is proud to associate himself with the group considering the personalities that make up the group, hence he is in total support of the aims and objectives to move round the nooks and crannies of Okunland to mobilize the electorate to vote en-masse for the APC.
He noted that if not that he traveled to Saudi Arabia for pilgrimage, he would have played a major role at the unveiling ceremony of the support group in Kabba a few weeks ago.
Speaking at his residence in Odokoro-Gbede, the State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd) who doubles as the Coordinator of the group, lauded Hon. Isah Taufiq for his monumental achievements as the local government Chairman and State ALGON Chairman.
He described him as a worthy ambassador of not only the Okun people but that of the party which have helped in no small measure in the successes recorded so far for the party in the area.
The Director General of the group, Barrister Alfred Bello commended the leadership skills of the political juganants, urging him to use his good office in helping the group to achieve its objectives of ensuring a landslide victory at the November poll.
While the Coordinator in charge of Yagba Federal Constituency and former member, Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon Eric Fiki on behalf of the group congratulated and welcomed the Chairman back from Holy Land, stressing that it is good for one to fulfill his or her religious obligations.
He noted that the group is determined to add value in collaboration with the existing structures of the party, and pointed out that the Chairman is expected to play a major role for the success of the group and the party.
