The incident was reported to the police by the village head of Kalarin, who stated that Maryam was seen hanging from a tree at Kalarin mountain without any visible signs of violence on her body.

The corpse has been deposited at the General Hospital Kaltungo.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Maryam had left her home the previous day to fetch firewood from a nearby bush.

However, a source close to the family alleged that Maryam was pregnant by her boyfriend, which had angered her parents.

The police have launched an investigation into the incident to determine the underlying cause of Maryam’s tragic decision. The Gombe State Police Command is working to uncover the facts surrounding the teenager’s death.
