The group has therefore promised not to leave any stone unturned to ensure overwhelming votes for the party during the polls.

The head of the group, Muhammed Abdulrazaq Ojibo, who was led by the Executive Chairman of Okene Local Government Area, Hon Muhammad Abdulrazak made this known when they paid a visit to Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman at his residence on Sunday in Okene.

The group described itself as organised and working assiduously for the consolidation and continuity project of the party, stressing that it stands firmly with the government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello and the party’s choice to fly its governorship flag in the forthcoming election.

The group promised not to leave any avenue unexplored in the push to see that the APC candidate emerges victoriously in the election that is few weeks away.

According to the group, they have gone around the nooks and crannies of Kogi Central to preach the message of consolidation and support solicitation in their various localities and that they would not rest until victory is achieved.

In his response, the APC gubernatorial candidate, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman expressed gratitude to the group for their support and for maintaining peace despite incidents capable of igniting skirmishes and urged them to sustain the tempo.

He further appealed for unity, peace, and sustained tolerance at all times as they were ingredients capable of enthroning development.

He also enjoined them to remain committed to the government under the leadership of Alhaji Yahaya Bello, which he noted has worked hard to entrench these values.

In another development, the APC candidate, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman attend a function organised by the FairWin Women Advancement Association (FAWWASS) group to interface with the people and expressed his appreciation for their support so far.

Subsequently, he attended a political ward meeting in Upogoro/Odenku, his immediate Ward within Okene Local Government Area.

Present at the event were Hajiya Sefiyat Usman Ododo (the wife of the APC governorship candidate), the Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barrister Ozigi Deedat Momodu, the Accountant General of Kogi State, Alhaji Jibril Momoh, the Chairman of Okene Local Government, Ya Muhamma, as well as other dignitaries and ward executives drawn from all wards within the senatorial district.
