Tinubu/Ododo 2027 Business Support Grant Empowers Six More Entrepreneurs as Beneficiaries Exceed 100
The Tinubu/Ododo 2027 Continuity Business Support Grant on Monday recorded another significant milestone with the empowerment of six entrepreneurs across Kogi State, bringing the total number of beneficiaries of the initiative to well over 100.
The presentation took place at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Lokoja, during the Kogi Enterprise Development Agency (KEDA) distribution ceremony for Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) certificates to beneficiaries and the official launch of the SMEs Business Support Cooperative.
The event was attended by the Executive Governor of Kogi State, *His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo*, who was represented by the Deputy Governor, *His Excellency, Elder Joel Salifu Oyibo*, while the Director-General of the Kogi Enterprise Development Agency (KEDA), *Alhaji Mohammed Kadiri Okeji*, served as the host.
In a remarkable demonstration of his unwavering commitment to entrepreneurship, youth empowerment and economic development, the Honourable Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, *Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris, FCA*, who is the sponsor of the Tinubu/Ododo 2027 Continuity Business Support Grant, leveraged the occasion to extend another round of financial support to deserving entrepreneurs.
On behalf of the Coordinator of the Tinubu/Ododo 2027 Continuity Business Support Grant, the Deputy Governor presented symbolic cheques to the beneficiaries in the presence of government officials, business stakeholders and invited guests.
The beneficiaries are:
* Mrs. Yinka Paul (Yagba East LGA) – N500,000
* Miss Elizabeth Olayemi (Yagba East LGA) – N500,000
* Mr. Alaba Dare (popularly known as 9ice)(Yagba East LGA) – N500,000
* Mr. Agunbiade John Kolawole (Yagba East LGA) – N500,000
* Mr. Olajide Favour Onize (Okene LGA) – N500,000
* Mr. Johnson Jimoh (Olamaboro LGA) – N1,000,000
The latest disbursement underscores the sustained impact of the Business Support Grant, which has continued to provide financial assistance to micro, small and medium-scale entrepreneurs across Kogi State, helping them expand existing businesses, create employment opportunities and contribute to the state’s economic growth.
Speaking through the presentation, the initiative reaffirmed its commitment to complementing the business-friendly policies of the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo by providing practical support that enhances enterprise development, wealth creation and sustainable livelihoods.
