Tinubu’s Government increase petrol prices again.

Facing ongoing economic pressures, President Bola Tinubu’s administration, through the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), has raised petrol prices once more.

GistReel reports that Lagos and Abuja residents will now pay ₦1,025 and ₦1,060 per litre, respectively.

In October, NNPCL stations in Abuja set petrol at ₦1,030 and ₦998 in Lagos, while other outlets ranged between ₦1,150 and ₦1,200 per litre.

According to Peoples Gazette, updated prices were displayed at NNPCL stations in Lagos and Abuja on Tuesday.

This adjustment, attributed to worsening economic conditions, is expected to further challenge Nigerians already struggling with rising living costs.

Since President Tinubu’s subsidy removal announcement on May 29, 2023, petrol prices have surged from ₦145 to over ₦1,000 per litre, deepening financial strain across the nation.

Frustrated citizens have coined the nickname “T-Pain” (Tinubu-pain) for the President, reflecting the economic hardships under his leadership.
