Umahi a builder of People, Institutions, Says Engr Ngwu

The Project Manager of Brass Engineering and Construction Ltd, Engr Frank Ngwu has described the Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi as not only a builder of roads and bridges, but a builder of institutions, character, professionals and above all, a builder of men whose lives continue to impact generations.

Ngwu stated this in his goodwill message to mark the 63rd birthday anniversary of the former Governor of Ebonyi state.

He noted that Umahi remains one of those rare leaders whose influence, uncommon generosity, courage, foresight, and unwavering commitment to excellence, have positively transformed countless lives while leaving enduring footprints in public service.

According to Engr Ngwu: “on the joyous occasion of your 63rd birthday, I join millions of admirers, associates, beneficiaries, and well-wishers across Nigeria and beyond in celebrating an extraordinary statesman, visionary leader, distinguished mentor, and exceptional builder of men, His Excellency, Senator Engr. David Nweze Umahi, CON, Honourable Minister of Works, Federal Republic of Nigeria”.

“History will undoubtedly remember you not merely as a builder of roads and bridges, but as a builder of institutions, a builder of character, a builder of professionals, and above all, a builder of men whose lives continue to impact generations”.

“Your life is a compelling testament to the truth that God raises exceptional men in every generation to shape destinies, transform societies, and inspire excellence. You are undoubtedly one of those rare leaders whose influence extends far beyond the offices you have occupied. Through your uncommon generosity, courage, foresight, and unwavering commitment to excellence, you have positively transformed countless lives while leaving enduring footprints in public service”.

The Project Manager explained that beyond the enormous demands of governance and nation-building, Umahi has distinguished himself as a leader who deliberately identifies, nurtures, empowers, and raises people across Nigeria.

“I remain one of the countless beneficiaries of your uncommon grace. Without any biological relationship or community affiliation, you chose to believe in me, entrusted me with responsibilities, exposed me to opportunities that many only dream of, and patiently guided my professional development in engineering and project management”.

“You did not merely assign responsibilities—you built capacity. You did not simply reward loyalty—you cultivated competence. You did not only inspire confidence—you empowered me to become a solution provider capable of making meaningful contributions to national development”.

“The enduring values of discipline, integrity, diligence, excellence, accountability, innovation, and uncompromising standards, which you consistently exemplify, have become guiding principles in my professional and personal life. For these priceless investments, I shall remain eternally grateful, Ngwu said.

He further extolled Umahi’s leadership prowess in public service, stressing that every offices previously occupied had witnessed bold leadership, visionary reforms, unprecedented infrastructure, and transformational governance.

Ngwu added: “today, under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, you have continued to distinguish yourself as one of the most outstanding, innovative, and result-oriented members of the Federal Executive Council”.

“Through your relentless commitment to quality infrastructure, strict adherence to engineering standards, and uncompromising pursuit of excellence, you are redefining road construction in Nigeria and restoring public confidence in the nation’s infrastructure delivery
