UNGA, SDGs, 2030 Decade of Action,

The annual United Nations General Assembly, UNGA in its 81st session is holding from 22nd to 27th September, 2026, as Nigeria’s UN Sustainable Development Goals SDGs under the leadership of Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire will be in attendance.
This is coming at a time when the United Nations Sustainable Goals SDGs will be four years into attaining the implementation of its goals, known as Decade of Action.

With all the preparations towards achieving the desired goals known as 2020- 2030 agenda in line with its 17 Goals , no doubt the more dual approach adopted by the body through its domestication in the country spanned other areas that involved the subnational.
Aside exhausting the goals in all areas , SDGs adopted a multidimensional approach in Nigeria powered by the leadership of the world body with Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire piloting.
This is also inclusive of the launching of INFF with states and multinationals envisaged in the last four years to attract priority funds and funding from the local , state , federal, multinationals and organized private sector .
Far from the domestication of INFF, the gradual spread to countries of the world beyond African continent powered by the SDGs in Nigeria, will be enough impetus that is capable of guaranteeing funding and execution of life touching projects that will change the narration of the less privileged as well as bring at par the needy in the society.
Having achieved in quantum the domestication of all its programs ranging from Education, Health , Social security and Empowerment, the program is handy to present the progress so far attained and the achievements there in in the ongoing session.
The remarkable achievements in health and series of interventions from the basic to primary, secondary and tertiary will be a corrolary to achieving the Decade of Action seamlessly in Nigeria.
Under Orelope-Adefulire, multiple interventions in the primary, secondary, intermediate and higher education is visible across board with the intention to do more in the next four years .
The construction and the tireless ongoing interventions in the critical areas of the goals has been an emboldenment to the success of the program in Nigeria and beyond.
In the new era under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu efforts are been redoubled towards highlighting the existing global goals, through rejigging in all areas particularly interventions in the area of economic security of ordinary Nigerians.
Therefore, in agreement and collaboration with states , government agencies and department of the states towards guaranteeing the future of ordinary Nigerians, in an effort to providing engagement outlets taking cognizance of the global economic downturn.
Therefore , under the agenda of the present administration, concerted efforts , understanding and collaboration has snowballed into bumper harvest in the area of capacity building, empowerment, charity, skill development that is gradually leading to self sustenance and self reliance of women and the less privileged in Nigeria.
Under the present leadership and managers of the SDGs, Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire introduced a mega grand empowerment program spanned for many years across the 36 states including the Federal Capital Territory,FCT and the six geopolitical zones for 500 women each capable of engaging 18000 women and households including market women, to relieve them of the global critical economic environment and bring on board engagement outlets with support from the Renewed Hope Initiative, RHI of Nigeria’s first lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu and the state governments.
Having stabilized the policy of empowering women , with the slogan of giving them special attention, SDGs commenced the program in earnest in the last three years covering the North-Central, South West and South East.
With the ongoing distribution of items under the SDGs goals 1,2,3,5, 8 and the support attracted from the public. ,private and wife of the president of Nigeria including state governments no doubt achieving the global agenda in 2020-2030 will be seamlessly realisable.
With three regions successfully executed, Lagos state government supported the program during the launch with 1,000 empowerment items bringing the items to 4000 distributed to vulnerable women, with other financial supports from the Renewed Hope Initiative, RHI.
Also in the recent program held in the southeast, another support of 2000 empowerment items for women from the Imo State government during the launch and financial donations from RHI jerked up to 4,000.
With these support both from state governments and wife of the President under her Renewed Hope Initiative, the private sector no doubt , SDGs has laid a solid foundation towards women emancipation in Nigeria.
With the general adage that empowering women is tantamount to empowering nation, it is obvious that with continuous funding supports , SDGs is geared and determined towards attaining the 2020-2030 agenda in all its sixteen goals .
