Uproar In Jos North Over Lopsided Appointments.
Following the appointments of the Chief of Staff, personal Assistance and Senior Special Advisers to the Chairman of Jos North Local Government Council, Deputy and Secretary to the Local Government, has generated heated debate among the citizens of the locality and beyond.
In most of the social media platforms,the Youths especially from the Afizere Ethnic group who are among the three Ethnic groups recognized as the indigenous Ethnic groups in the Local Government Area were conspicuously absent in over 14 Aides appointed by the Council Chairman. The Appointment is dominated by the Anaguta that’s the Ethnic group of the Chairman,Hon. J.K Chris and Followed by the Hausa and Berom Ethnic groups of the Deputy Chairman and the Council’s Secretary, respectively,with few others from other Mangu and Igbo.

Shows that Collins Ofoma Eze Appointed as Director of Research, Planning and Documentation,Matilda Simi Pwajok, Personal Secretary to the Chairman, Emmanuel Mathew Dagur, Personal Assistant to the Chairman,Dahiru Kamal, Personal Assistant to the Deputy Chairman,Gimbal Magfok Isaac,Personal Assistant II to the Deputy Chairman,John Jeff Yari,Senior Special Assistant to the Chairman,Gambo Benjamin Agada,Senior Special Assistant to the Chairman,Daniel David Zangam,Senior Special Assistant to the Chairman,Binkam Bala, Nankam Dominic, Senior Special Assistant to the Chairman,Driver to the Chairman,Daniel Dacholom,Adviser to the Secretary,Jugu Timothy,Personal Assistant to the Council’s Secretary, Namo Benjamin Ama, special Assistant and Mubarak Abubakar,Driver to the Deputy Chairman.
The lamentation and the regrets by the People including his Party members and those that voted the Chairman into office irrespective of religion, political parties and Ethnicity.
The Appointment is full of nepotism cheuvonism and Ethnic inclination,unless a swift respond is made to address the matter so that it will placate the perceived marginalized group of people and douse the tension and agitations that is brewing.
This is litmus test for the J.K Chris Administration in Jos North Local Government which is also being referred to as mini Nigeria, because almost all the Ethnic groups in Nigeria are found there.
Because the people are yearning for fairness, equity and justice as is enshrined in our constitution particularly the principles of Federal character Commission.
As the reactions and lamentations as well as condemnations is escalating,all eyes are on J K Chris and his team on how to accommodate those sidelined and marginalized Ethnic groups.
