Vanguard Governor of the Year Award, For Oborevwori Confirmation of Purposeful Leadership in Delta State – Hon. Gen. Oloye

Hon Clement Ofovwi aka Gen Oloye, Special Assistant to the Governor on Security have stated that the Vanguard Governor of the Year Award conferred on Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State is a confirmation of Purposeful leadership for Deltans.
Gen Oloye the Governor Aide asserted that the Vanguard Governor of the Year Award award is a recognition of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, as one of Nigeria’s most progressive and people-oriented leaders.

He added: ” The award, presented by Vanguard Newspapers, one of Nigeria’s most respected media institutions, celebrates the governor’s sterling contributions to good governance, infrastructural renewal, and socio-economic development in Delta State.
Hon. General Oloye Special Assistant to the on Security lauded the award as a “well-deserved national recognition that affirms the purposeful, dynamic, and inclusive leadership style of Governor Oborevwori.”
According to Hon. Gen. Oloye, “This award is not just a trophy on the shelf, but a testament to the governor’s unwavering commitment to his MORE Agenda, which is rooted in Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms, and Enhanced Peace and Security.”
Hon Gen Oloye said since assuming office in May 2023, Governor Oborevwori has demonstrated exceptional political will and administrative competence in addressing long-standing developmental challenges in Delta State. From road construction and urban renewal projects to health care delivery, youth empowerment, and industrialization initiatives, the governor’s impact is visible across the three senatorial districts of the state.
Hon. Gen. Oloye emphasized that under the Oborevwori administration, Delta State has experienced relative peace and improved security due to strategic engagement with security agencies and communities.
“His Excellency has ensured synergy between government and security stakeholders, creating a safe environment for businesses to thrive and for lives and property to be protected,” he said.
He explained that the Vanguard Governor of the Year Award coming within a short time in office highlights the impact of his leadership style. “Governor Oborevwori is a grassroots man with a national mind. He listens, he acts, and he delivers. This award has reaffirmed the faith that Deltans placed in him when they voted massively for him in 2023.
He added that the governor’s human capital development policies, particularly in education and health, are tailored toward lifting people out of poverty and creating sustainable livelihoods across the state. With the governor’s support, thousands of youths and women have benefited from skill acquisition, entrepreneurship, and agricultural empowerment schemes.
While congratulating the governor on this milestone, Hon. Gen. Oloye encouraged the people of Delta to remain supportive and united behind the Oborevwori administration. “We have seen the proof of purposeful leadership. Now we must consolidate on it.
