Waive Endorsement Confirmed Oborevwori as the Governor of the People Irrespective of Political Affiliations, – General Oloye

By Wilson Macaulay

Hon Clement Ofovwi aka General Oloye Special Assistant to the Governor on Security has posited that the the RT Hon Rev Ejiroghene Waive’s endorsement of Governor Sheriff OBOREVWORI of Delta State is indeed a confirmation of the fact that Governor Sheriff OBOREVWORI is indeed the Governor who cares for all Deltans irrespective of Political or party Affiliations.

You will recall that last week in a momentous declaration that promoted the growing acceptance and leadership prowess of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Hon. Francis Waive, the member of House of Representatives representing Ughelli North, Ughelli South, and Udu Federal Constituency, officially endorsed the governor’s administration for second tenure.

This endorsement has been hailed as a significant milestone by political stakeholders across Delta State, further cementing Governor Oborevwori’s reputation as a unifying leader whose governance transcends party lines.

Reacting to this development, Hon Clement Ofovwi, popularly known as General Oloye, lauded Hon. Waive for his foresight and recognition of Governor Oborevwori’s people-oriented governance. He described the endorsement as a powerful confirmation that the governor is indeed a leader for all Deltans, irrespective of their political affiliations.

According to General Oloye, Hon. Waive’s endorsement speaks volumes about the governor’s commitment to inclusive governance and the overall development of Delta State. “Governor Oborevwori has demonstrated beyond reasonable doubt that he is a leader who is concerned about the welfare of all Deltans, regardless of political leanings. His leadership is a breath of fresh air, promoting unity and progress in our dear state,” he remarked.

General Oloye further stated that the endorsement by a key opposition figure reflects the governor’s exceptional track record within his second year in office. “When leaders from other political divides acknowledge the performance of a sitting governor, it means there is something tangible on the ground that cannot be ignored. The endorsement by Hon. Waive is a testament to the governor’s good works,” he added.

Since assuming office, Governor Oborevwori has embarked on transformative projects across the state, ranging from infrastructural development, education, healthcare, youth empowerment, and economic revitalization. Under his MORE Agenda, Delta State has witnessed a renewed focus on people-centered policies aimed at improving the standard of living for all citizens.

Among the notable achievements of Governor Oborevwori are:

Massive Road Construction and Rehabilitation: The governor has prioritized urban and rural road networks, ensuring accessibility for communities previously neglected.

Educational Transformation: His administration has invested heavily in school infrastructure, teachers’ welfare, and scholarship programs.

Healthcare Advancements: The revamping of primary healthcare centers and equipping of hospitals across the state have improved medical service delivery.

Economic and Agricultural Boost: Through empowerment initiatives, job creation schemes, and agricultural investments, the state’s economy is gradually stabilizing.

Security and Peacebuilding: The governor’s approach to security has fostered relative peace in communities, making Delta more conducive for business and investment.

A Call for Unity and Collective Development

General Oloye emphasized that the endorsement by Hon. Waive should serve as a wake-up call to all political actors in Delta State to put aside partisan differences and work towards the collective progress of the state. “At the end of the day, governance is about the people. It is high time we all embraced the reality that Governor Oborevwori is here to serve everyone, not just members of his party,” he noted.

He therefore called on other opposition figures, community leaders, and stakeholders to rally behind the governor’s developmental initiatives for the greater good of Delta State.

The endorsement of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori by Hon. Francis Waive marks a defining moment in Delta State politics, reinforcing the governor’s acceptance across party lines. With growing bipartisan support, it is evident that Oborevwori is not just a party leader but a governor for all Deltans. As his administration will continue to implement progressive policies, more endorsements are expected to follow, further solidifying his status as the people’s governor.
