We are Leaving Poverty For Prosperity, 200 APC, PDP Supporters Declare as they Join AA in Kogi State.
About 200 members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as well as People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Akpazu Ward, Kogi Local Government Area, dumped their respective parties for Action Alliance, saying their action is informed by the need to leave poverty and join the fast-moving prosperity train as represented by the AA Guber candidate, Otunba Olayinka Braimoh.
In a remark, former PDP Public Relations Officer, Sani Ibrahim said that all Kogi State needs to eradicate poverty is a visionary leader. He noted that among all the candidates contesting for the 11th November elections, only Otunba Braimoh has a workable and realisable agenda.
On his part, a former Assistant Secretary of APC in the local government, Salihu disclosed that he and other members are ready to work for the success of AA to ensure the party clinch victory in the forthcoming polls.
Also speaking, Chairman of AA in Kogi Local Government Area, Hon. Yunusa Zakari described the defection as a welcome development and assured new members of equal treatment. Hon. Zakari implored them to sensitise more persons to join the party towards salvaging poverty from the State.
In his response, the AA Gubernatorial Candidate, Otunba Braimoh told the decampees that they have made the best decision to join the winning train, assuring them that he will end poverty under three (3) years if elected.
According to him, “I am on a Mission to make sure that no family begs before they eat. Nobody will beg before they will pay children’s school fees.”
He promised to rehabilitate the road leading to Adangiri as well as repositioning of primary and secondary schools education.
Otunba Braimoh also visited some Royal Fathers where they prayed passionately for the realisation of his ambition.
Similarly, the AA Governorship Candidate visited the Ohinoyi of Girinya, HRH. Mall. Muhammed Momoh, who said he was the first Candidate to visit the community, and assured of support of his subjects. The royal father commended Otunba Braimoh for making poverty eradication part of his agenda, lamenting that poverty has ravaged his community.
In his final address, Otunba Braimoh stated that he will not let his increasing number of supporters down, urging them to try all their best to ensure that every person related to them hears about the poverty-to-prosperity mantra and then votes for the winning party, AA.
