“We Have Lost a Brother”; Kogi Deputy Gov Mourns Hon. James Onojah (Kross)

The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Comrade Joel Salifu, has received with deep pain and sorrow the sudden death of the immediate past Chairman of Igalamela-Odolu Local Government Area and current Special Adviser to the Governor on Security for Idah Federal Constituency, Hon. James Onojah Ignatius, popularly known as Kross.

The sad news reached the Deputy Governor while he was about to set out on an official trip to Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, a development that compelled him to promptly cancel the journey. The news came as a rude shock, as the deceased was not just a trusted aide and dependable public servant, but a loyal party man. Hon. James Onojah was often by the Deputy Governor’s side, accompanying him to major official engagements, where his loyalty, quiet strength, and commitment clearly stood out.

As Special Adviser on Security for Idah Federal Constituency, Hon. James Onojah played a critical role in partnering with security agencies to safeguard lives and properties. His contributions to security coordination and grassroots engagement will be deeply missed.

He was a man of few words but great impact, gentle in character, calm in disposition, yet extremely hardworking and intentional in the discharge of his duties. He carried every responsibility with sincerity and a deep sense of purpose, placing service to the people above personal comfort.

On behalf of his family and the people of Kogi State, His Excellency Comrade Joel Salifu extends heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased, the people of Igalamela-Odolu Local Government Area, the Idah Federal Constituency, and all who were touched by the life and service of Hon. James Onojah Ignatius.

“This is a painful loss,” the Deputy Governor notes. “Not just to government, but to me personally. We have lost a loyal brother and a dependable ally. His dedication, integrity, and quiet sacrifice will not be forgotten.”

Comrade Joel Salifu, prays that God Almighty grants the departed eternal rest and gives his family, friends, and associates the strength to bear this irreparable loss.
