We will work together for the greatness of Mopamuro, Fanwo assures Assembly Member
The Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo has congratulated the newly inaugurated House of Assembly Member representing Mopamuro Constituency, Hon. Olawumi Jacob, assuring him of cooperation in order to move Mopamuro forward.
Fanwo gave the assurance in a congratulatory message to Hon. Olawumi Jacob, saying the expectations of the people “have never been higher”.
“I use this medium to congratulate you as you assume the mantle of speaking for the people of Mopamuro in the Kogi State House of Assembly. Our people’s expectations are high and we will work with you to meet those expectations”, he assured.
He said the election that ushered in the new Assembly Member is such that “comes with pressure”, as the people “overwhelmingly voted for someone with undoubted capacity and tenacity to represent them”.
His words: “It had never happened in the history of Mopamuro for a representative to win a keenly contested election in all the Wards. The stakes were very high and the temperatures were high, but you pulled it through unscathed with the massive support of the people.
“As you assume office today, so are the expectations of the people already ticking. They want excellent representation. They want to hear your voice address their needs on the floor of the House. They want your representation to usher in a new vista of positivism, progress, pragmatism and practical development. You cannot afford to disappoint you.
“As our representative, we will support you to succeed because when you succeed, our people will continue to believe in you as well as the leadership of our dear party”, he said.
