Wife of Kogi AG Drums Support For Ododo, APC, Empowers 2000 Women, Distributes Relief Materials.
Over 2000 women in Uhana and Akpogu Communities of Kogi Local Government Area of Kogi State have been empowered with cash to support and start up small businesses.
The wife of the Kogi State Accountant General, Hajia Zainab Jibrin, made the cash donations as well as distributed relief materials to the women.
Hajia Zainab encouraged the women on the need for civic participation in the forthcoming November Governorship election when she visited Uhana and Akpogu Communities.
The relief materials provided includes food items made up of grains, rice, appealed for women participation in the November 11 Election, pointing out that it will help shape the future of the State.
Hajia Zainab described the humanitarian effort as an intervention made to cushion the hard times faced Nigerians, called for unity in Uhana and Akpogu Communities.
“We are here to offer relief materials to help ease some of the burdens you carry as a token of our gratitude.”
Recognizing the vital roles play by women in communities, Hajiya Zainab encouraged women to exercise their rights to vote in the upcoming November 11, 2023 elections.
She emphasized, “You are the pillars of this community, and you have the potential to shape the future of our state and our nation by voting wisely.”
” Let’s use our votes to show our resilient, strength and determination in the face of Nigeria’s challenges”, commended the community and the All Progressives Congress (APC) for their unwavering dedication in reducing the sufferings faced by Nigerians following the removal of fuel subsidy.
Hajia Zainab Jibrin introduced Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the APC gubernatorial candidate to the women of the Community, described the APC Candidate of as deeply committed to addressing challenges in the healthcare, education, and youth employment sectors of the State.
She implored the women to support and vote for him, stating, “When you cast your ballots on November 11, 2023, you will be casting a vote for a brighter future for your families and your community. Together, we can build a stronger, more prosperous Kogi State.”
Hajia Zainab expressed her gratitude to the people of Uhana and Akpogu villages, emphasized the impact of their active participation in the upcoming election, as well as rallying the community for unity and determination to shape a better future for Kogi State.
The Ohinoyi of Uhana, HRH Uhana, Alhaji Isah O. Aliyu, and the community leader of Akpogu, Alhaji Musa Umar, described the gesture by Hajia Zainab as humanitarian, expressed the heartfelt appreciation of the Communities for the kindness extended to them.
