Women inclusion in politics, governance brings development — Kogi Deputy Speaker
The Deputy Speaker and Member Representing Ibaji Constituency at the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Comfort Ojoma Nwuchiola has said that inclusion of women in politics and governance would bring development to the country.
Rt. Hon. Nwuchiola stated this when she attended a two-day advocacy and Women in Parliament Summit as a quest Speaker in Abuja the federal capital.
The Summit which was in commemoration of the International Women’s Day 2024 campaign has a theme “Inspiring Inclusion”
She noted that when people inspire others to understand and value women’s inclusion in politics and governance at all level, the country and indeed the world forge a better living and peaceful coexistence.
The Rt. Hon. Deputy Speaker further pointed out that “when women themselves are inspired to be included, there’s a sense of belonging, relevance, and empowerment”
At the International Women’s Day 2024 campaign, Kogi State and Ibaji women was competently and credibly represented at the occasion.
