The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Winner Crown Parish in Unity Layout, Kwararafa Lokoja, Kogi State, came alive on Sunday, July 27, 2025, as the church celebrated the Women’s Day with great enthusiasm and joy.

The theme for this year’s celebration, “The Glorious Women,” was aptly captured by the vibrant display of colorful attire and jubilant spirits of the women in attendance.

The program featured a special Bible reading from the Book of Esther, chapter 4:14-17, which highlights the multifaceted roles of women, as exemplified by Esther. In this passage, Esther’s courage and determination to save her people from persecution are showcased, demonstrating her roles as a wife, a leader, and a savior of her nation.

From the biblical account, Esther’s story teaches us about the power of women in shaping destinies. As a wife, Esther showed loyalty and dedication to her husband, King Ahasuerus. As a leader, she courageously intervened on behalf of her people, risking her own life to save them from destruction. This biblical narrative emphasizes the importance of women’s roles in society, highlighting their capacity for leadership, bravery, and selflessness.

Pastor Mrs. Victoria Titilayo Jonah, wife of the parish pastor, delivered a powerful message, emphasizing the significance of women’s roles in the home, church, and society. She encouraged the women to emulate Esther’s virtues, including courage, faith, and determination. She further noted that that Esther was wife, a Queen, a King over his people, a warrior and an intercessor, charged all women to emulate the life of Esther.

In a special prayer session, the Parish Prophet, Pastor Jonah Joshua blessed the women, praying for their well-being, prosperity, and continued impact in their various spheres of influence.

The celebration was marked by vibrant singing, dancing, and rejoicing, and varieties of playlets as the women of Winner Crown Parish came together to commemorate their special day.

The event was a testament to the important role women play in shaping society and the church.
