Yagba Action Group Commiserates Rep Abejide Over Death of Senior Aide

Yagba Action Group (YAG), a non-partisan socio-political body consisting of professionals and technocrats from Yagba Federal Constituency, Kogi State has commiserated with the member, Federal House of Representatives for Yagba Federal Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on Customs and Excise, Hon Leke Abejide over the demise of his Senior Legislative Aide, Barrister Kunle Adeniyi. Adeniyi, a lawyer, died in the morning of Wednesday in his Abuja residence due to undisclosed health circumstances.

In the condolence message dated January 16th, 2025, addressed to Abejide and signed by YAG Chairman, Dr Tunde Olusunle, Fellow, Association of Nigerian Authors, (FANA) and Adjunct Professor of Creative Writing, University of Abuja, the body described the passing of Adeniyi, a promising Yagba son at the young age of 43, as a “profund loss’, not only to Abejide but to the global Yagba nation.

The statement reads: “We of the Yagba Action Group, (YAG), extend our deepest condolences to you on the untimely passing of your Senior Legislative Aide, Barrister Kunle Adeniyi. His sudden demise at the young age of 43 is a profound loss, not only to you, but for the global Yagba family. Barrister Adeniyi embodied the essential conscientiousness, spirit and promise of the Yagba people. He dedicated his life to public service and made significant contributions to our constituency as a young professional and community enthusiast.

His commitment to his work and the people he served will always be fondly remembered. Rest assured we share in your grief during these difficult times and hope that you find solace in the hope of glory that he is in a better place. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family of Barrister Adeniyi as you navigate through this huge loss”.
