You are doing well- Ex Kogi Majority Leader Adakeke lauds Gov. Ododo over appointment in Dekina/Bassa Constituency

A former Majority Leader in the Kogi State House of Assembly Hon. Alhassan Salisu Adakeke, has commended the Executive Governor of the State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for appointing credible and dependable sons and daughter of Bassa/Dekina Federal constituency into position of influence in the state.

Adakeke gave the commendations on Tuesday at a townhall meeting
organized by the House of representatives member, for Bassa/Dekina federal constituency, Hon Paul Yakubu Gowon held in Idrinana hotel, Lokoja.

The former Kogi Assembly lawmaker noted that, the two key portfolios allocated to the constituency were worthy of emulation and should be acknowledged with appreciated by the people.

Adakeke, who is a former former Adviser to the Kogi State Government on Primary health care lauded the federal lawmaker representing Bassa/Dekina, Hon Gowon for raising the bars of Legislative practice in the constituency.

He maintained, that , for the member to attract various projects Worth one Billion Naira was not only commendable but gratifying to the communities in the constituency.

 

According to him,” We are determined to support the Government and it activities. When you see a gathering like this, we should be propelled by representative of the people, to bringing in people from the nooks and crannies of his constituency,. It is a well taken decision on his part on what he has done as a member representing Dekina/Bassa federal constituency and to reflect that on what it is expected to be done in the future and to also encourage other Government representative to also learn from it.

“To such an extent, we are very confident that it is also designed to propel the current Government in the State who must have work assiduously to put him and to appreciate the good job he is doing. It is also for him to appreciate what the Government has done to bring him for a job like this”.

 

While admonishing the federal legislature not to relent in his legislative years ahead, Adakeke averred that, the immediate past Governor of Kogi State Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello should be given the glory for his vision in working assiduously for the nominations and election of competent representatives across the state.

He appealed to the Federal lawmaker to lead the call for the actualization of the construction of Shintaku -Dekena -Anyigba federal road as a key economic impetus to the constituency.
