In a heartwarming show of solidarity and compassion, Dare Mathew also used the occasion to empower widows and widowers within the community through his generous donations of food stuff and cash. The singular act further demonstrate his commitment to social welfare and support for Governor Ododo’s people-focused policies.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dare Mathew expressed his admiration for the ongoing transformation in Kogi State under the leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, which attracted him in joining the party, commending him for his proactive governance, prompt payment of workers’ salaries, and visible infrastructure development across the state.

He acknowledged the efforts of Governor Usman Ododo in the payment of WAEC, Jamb and mock exams for all students in public schools in the entire state, pointed out that the initiative has further relief the parents in the payment of those fees.

“Governor Usman Ododo has rewritten the story of Kogi State for good,” Dare stated. “What we are witnessing today is purposeful leadership, and I am proud to align myself with this vision. My joining the APC is not just political—it is a call to contribute meaningfully to the progress of our dear state.”

Hon. Solomon Jembawondo, the APC Kabba/Bunu Local Government Party Chairman, welcomed the new members with open arms. In his speech, he lauded Dare Mathew’s decision and commended his philanthropic gesture.

> “Today marks a new chapter for the APC in Kabba/Bunu,” Hon. Jembawondo said. “We are glad to receive Dare Mathew—a young, dynamic, and patriotic individual whose impact is already being felt across our communities. His support, both politically and socially, is timely and deeply appreciated. The empowerment of widows and widowers today is a testament to the kind of leadership and compassion we are bringing into our fold.”

The event concluded with a renewed sense of unity and enthusiasm among party supporters, signaling a strengthened APC structure in the area as preparations for future political activities continue.
