Your Father’s Goodwill, Asset for Your Ambition, Obaro of Kabba Tells Braimoh
The paramount ruler of Kabba and Chairman, Okun Area Traditional Council, Oba Solomon Oladele Owoniyi has praised the candidate of the Action Alliance (AA) in the November 11 Governorship election in Kogi State, Mr. Olayinka Braimoh for his courage and noted that the goodwill of the candidate’s late father, Mr. S.O Braimoh who was an accomplished politician, will surely work in his favour.
The traditional ruler stated that the late Braimoh was well known across Kogi State where he taught many individuals who are now leaders in various spheres of life and that the respect and reputation he earned will be an asset for the ambition of his brilliant son.
Oba Awoniyi admonished Braimoh not to forget Kabba Community in his wealth creation agenda adding that it was part of his responsibilities as a royal father to receive all candidates, irrespective of their political parties, bless them but at the end of it all, commit everything in the hands of God, who, has the final say in all matters and that the forthcoming Governorship election in the State is not an exception.
He advised Braimoh’s team members to be faithful with him and also go about their consultations peacefully. The royal father also prayed for the AA candidate and his entourage.
Braimoh who was at the Palace to formally inform the traditional ruler about his political aspiration to become the next governor of the State.and to also ask for his Royal blessings spoke briefly about his Vision for the state which can be summarised as ‘wealth creation and distribution through retention’.
He told the royal father that this vision was encapsulated in an acronym known as the STAT Agenda which translated into Solid Minerals, Tourism, Agriculture and Trade. He added that once this is fully implemented, Kogi State will be revived from the present state of financial crisis and underdevelopment to its rightful place as one of the wealthiest States in Nigeria.
