Youth Empowerment: Jos North AYM Establishes Fabrication Workshop
The Leadership of the Afizere Youth Movement (AYM) in Jos North Local Government Area has launched a fabrication workshop in Fudawa District, aimed at curbing unemployment among youths.
The centre will offer training in fabrication, tailoring, and other skills. Commissioning the project, the National President of AYM, Comrade Vincent Nyam, commended the Jos North leadership for their foresight and encouraged youths to utilize the centre for skills development, reducing unemployment and restiveness.
“The best empowerment is human capital development,” Nyam said, donating a token to support the project and pledging further financial and human support.
Chairman of the Plateau State Youth Council, Jos North Local Government Area, Comrade Paul Mancha, reiterated the council’s support for such initiatives, urging youths to unite and promote peace.
He cautioned youths against social vices and being used by those with ill intentions, urging them to support government efforts to sustain peace.
The Paramount Ruler of Jos Izere Chiefdom, His Royal Highness Ada Emmanuel Ajik, represented by Adagwom John Arin, advised youths to be serious and shun negative attitudes, emphasizing that those admitted to the centre should have impeccable characters.
The Chairman of Afizere Elders Council, Ada Agwom Inyam, blessed the Afizere Youths for their achievements and encouraged them to do more for the progress of the Afizere Nation.
