YOUTHS COMMEND GOV ODODO FOR RESTORING ELECTRICITY TO KOTON KARFE COMMUNITY
The youths of Kogi Koton Karfe Local Government Area of Kogi State have commended Kogi State government and stakeholders for their swift response in restoring electricity to the community after a cable theft incident that left the area in darkness for a month.
On Thursday, June 13, 2024, the youths gathered to express their gratitude to Kogi State government and stakeholders for their efforts in replacing the stolen cables, valued at 300 million naira, which had earlier disconnected the local government from national grid.

In their words, “We are grateful to His Excellency Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his prompt response to our plight and for power restoration, which has brought back life and security to our community.”
They also commended various stakeholders at all levels, including the custodian of the ancestral Igu kingdom, His Royal Majesty (Dr) Saidu Akawu Salihu, Hon Engr Abubakar Bashir Gegu, amongst others, for their collective efforts in restoring power to the community.
The restoration of electricity to Koton Karfe was greeted with excitement, and the youths described it as a major achievement for Kogi State government, which they said has been working tirelessly to improve social amenities in the state.
They however, reaffirmed their support for Gov Ododo and the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) for prioritizing the community’s needs.
