Speaking on behalf of the Students Body, the association’s Senate President, Akinteye Babatunde, highlighted the achievements of the VC, describing him as an architect of modern FUOYE.

He said: “I am here to say a little about the Vice- Chancellor of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Professor Abayomi Sunday Fasina. He deserves commendation and not condemnation.

“Professor Fasina has completed over 150 projects on campus, and he’s still doing more.

“He has been able to boost the IGR of the University, part-time, Business School, and the rest are part of the project of Professor Abayomi Sunday Fasina.

“The School has about 50 programmes including Artificial Intelligence (AI). Professor Fasina has won so many grants for the university.

“He offered scholarships to indigent students, and his achievements have surpassed other universities established same year.

“As students, we are all proud of Professor Fasina. He’s the best VC so far in Nigeria.

“We students will continue to support you; we will oppress whoever oppresses you.”

In a motion moved by Comrade Temitayo, he passed a vote of confidence in the Vice- Chancellor for his work in transforming the university, making it the best university among its peers established the same year.

In a unanimous voice by all Union Presidents in South West the Vote of Confidence in Prof. Fasina was due to his leadership quality.

The Union President added that he had catapulted FUOYE to greater academic excellence, including students’ welfare as Fasina’s administration’s major focus.

According to them, “NANS South West Zone D has unanimously applauded the pragmatic (leader) and father of students, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abayomi Sunday Fasina, for his leadership dexterity in taking FUOYE to a greater height with academic excellence and students’ welfare being his major focus.
