N5 Billion Palliatives: DG Okun United for Ododo Condemns Calls to stop Kogi share
The Director General of Okun United for Ododo/Joel Project, Barrister Alfred Bello has condemned in strong terms those calling for the stoppage of thw N5billion palliatives meant for Kogi State as wicked and insensitive to the plight of the people of the State.
The DG gave this assertion during a telephone chat with DemocracyNewsline’s reporter, stressing that it is most unfortunate that those who intend to govern the state does not place priority attention to the hardship being experienced by Nigerians, Kogites inclusive with the removal of the petroleum subsidy but more concerned about their selfish interests and personal aggrandizement.
He noted that Kogi state is one of the 36 states and FCT, Abuja that will enjoy the palliatives of the federal government; how come some callous individuals are hiding behind politics to exhibit their wicked acts against humanity in the state.
“I call on Kogites to rally round their Governor and come up with ideas that can move the state forward instead of always embarking on pull down syndrome that will be detrimental to the development of the state”
He said there is no gainsaying that Nigerians are going through a tough time with the subsidy saga hence any effort to reduce the suffering should be supported by all and sundry.
