As Nigeria marks its 65th Independence Anniversary, the Distinguished Senator Garba Musa Maidoki, representing Kebbi South Senatorial District, has extended warm felicitations to all Nigerians, urging unity, patriotism, and a renewed commitment to national development.
In his goodwill message, Senator Maidoki called on citizens to remain optimistic and look beyond present challenges, emphasizing that the collective strength of the nation lies in its unity and diversity. He urged all Nigerians to continue to support the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as it works diligently to reposition the country towards greater prosperity.
“Now more than ever, what our country needs is unity, peace, and collective resolve. We must support President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, as his reforms are beginning to yield results, especially in areas of economic recovery and improved national security,” he said.
Senator Maidoki expressed confidence in the direction of current economic reforms, noting that Nigerians will soon begin to witness more tangible benefits across various sectors. He also praised the marked improvement in national security over the past two years, attributing it to the concerted efforts of both federal and state authorities.
He particularly commended the Governor of Kebbi State, His Excellency Alhaji Nasir Idris, for the strides made in developmental projects and the sustained promotion of peace and security in the state.
The Senator extended his heartfelt congratulations to the President of the Senate, His Excellency Godswill Akpabio, the Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, and all serving Senators of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as the nation celebrates another year of freedom, resilience, and nationhood.
“Fellow Nigerians, and the good people of Kebbi State—especially my constituents in Kebbi South Senatorial District—happy 65th Independence Anniversary!
As we celebrate this historic day, let us reflect on the sacrifices of our founding fathers—Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Sir Ahmadu Bello, Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, and others—who laid the foundation of our nation. We must recommit ourselves to the values they championed: unity, justice, peace, and tolerance,” Senator Maidoki stated.
Acknowledging the current challenges facing the country, Senator Maidoki expressed hope and firm belief that Nigeria will overcome its trials and emerge stronger.
“Yes, we face difficulties, but our resilience as a people is unmatched. With faith, unity, and continued support for government initiatives, we shall rise above these challenges. Let us stand together, support one another, and believe in the brighter future of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” he concluded.
