Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullah Wa Barakatuhu,
On the blessed occasion of 1st Muharram, 1447 After Hijrah, I, Rt. Hon. Alhassan Ado Doguwa, extend my sincere congratulations and best wishes to the Muslim Ummah and all well-meaning Nigerians for witnessing yet another Islamic year — a time of reflection, renewal, and revival of faith.
This day, the first of Muharram, is not just a date on the calendar. It is a sacred turning point — one that commemorates the Hijrah (migration) of the Noble Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings of Allah Be Upon Him) from Makkah to Madinah. That journey marked the beginning of the Islamic calendar, but more importantly, it defined the core of our faith — a legacy of resilience, sacrifice, purpose, unity, and trust in Allah (SWT).
As a man of courage and unwavering resolve, I, Alhassan Ado Doguwa, take this moment to call on our leaders, stakeholders, and the entire Muslim Ummah to draw inspiration from the life of the Prophet (SAW). Today, as our world faces multifaceted challenges — political, economic, social, and spiritual — the message of Hijrah remains timeless: that through unity, sacrifice, and sincere leadership, progress is possible, and peace is achievable.
This new Islamic year should awaken in us:
A stronger commitment to justice and truth
Deeper compassion and love for one another
Renewed dedication to community service and national development
And above all, sincere obedience to the teachings of Islam
Let us use this moment not merely as a celebration, but as a call to action — to restore peace in our homes, harmony in our communities, and stability across our great nation, Nigeria.
My Special Prayers:
I pray that Allah (SWT) showers His mercy upon our dear state, Kano, our beloved nation Nigeria, and the entire Muslim world. May He bless our leaders with wisdom, our people with patience, and our youth with direction. May this year bring healing, hope, and historic achievements for our country.
To my respected constituents in Doguwa and Tudun Wada, I reaffirm my unwavering dedication to your service, development, and well-being. You remain the pride of our democratic mandate, and I shall continue to serve you with dignity, sincerity, and unshakable commitment.
> “The New Year is not just a fresh beginning. It is a sacred opportunity to walk in the footsteps of our beloved Prophet (SAW), spreading the light of Islam, unity, and humanity to every corner of our society.”
Signed:
