Addressing the gathering, a visibly elated Alhaji Toyin described his joy as “beyond imagination,” noting that witnessing the successful take-off of the University was a dream fulfilled. He emphasized his determination to ensure that the emerging Ivory Tower becomes accessible to students across the globe through the continuous provision of world-class facilities and the recruitment of a highly competent workforce.

The Chancellor appealed to members of staff to remain dedicated, strive for continuous career development, and uphold the values that would fast-track the realization of the founding vision. According to him, “Our goal is clear to build a university that competes globally. This demands commitment, excellence, and an unbroken focus on growth.”

In a demonstration of his passion for student engagement, Alhaji Toyin later joined the students in a friendly snooker game at the University’s Sports Arena, urging them to uphold good conduct and diligence in their studies. He expressed confidence that the students of AATU would grow into world-class ambassadors capable of making Nigeria proud on the global stage.

Responding on behalf of the University community, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. AbdulRauf Ambali, expressed profound appreciation to the Founder for his vision, encouragement, and hands-on support. Prof. Ambali assured that the Senate, Management, staff, and students would not relent in driving the institution steadily toward the attainment of its founding objectives.

“We are fully aligned with the Founder’s mission,” the Vice Chancellor declared. “With unity of purpose, hard work, and the continuous support of our Chancellor, we shall build a university that stands tall among its peers globally,a true centre of excellence for teaching, research, and community service.”
