Abejide Has Been Winning for APC, Yardstick for Official Membership – NCAYC
North Central APC Youth Coalition (NCAYC), as the name implies, is a youth based group of APC supporters in North Central. The mandate of the group focuses on call for good governance and leadership, mobilization of members for the APC, and promoting the party across Nigeria, especially within the North Central.
The group conveyed a meeting in Abuja on Saturday, 22nd of March, 2025, in respect of identifying the successes of the APC within the geographical zone (North Central), especially as it relates to Hon. (Elder) Leke Abejide, member representing Yagba West, Yagba East, and Mopamuro in the Federal House of Representatives.
The NCAYC has resolved to call on Elder Leke Abejide to join the APC, a party which he is a founding member. We will ensure to involve prominent grassroot APC loyalists within his domain and beyond to compel him to join the APC.

The time is now! Elder Leke Abejide can not be contributing to the APC from a distance. He has to own the family that he belongs to.
The NCAYC has highlighted some of the successes of the APC in the geographical zone and also at the national level, which can be attributed to Elder Leke Abejide.
The success recorded for the APC in North Central during the last presidential election of 2023 was part of the efforts of Elder Leke Abejide. He saw that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu won the election.
Despite being the gubernatorial candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the last governorship election in Kogi State in 2023, in the spirit of sportsmanship, Elder Leke Abejide was the first candidate to congratulate the victory of the APC candidate, who is the Governor of Kogi State today. He did not only congratulate His Excellency, Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo of Kogi State, he is also working with him to ensure the success of the APC led government in Kogi State.
Recently, according to a news report, he also volunteered to be the Director General of the campaign if Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo of the APC declares to contest for 2nd term.
As a National Assembly member, he has always supported and see to the successes of the policies of APC led federal government and the presidency.
He has also always attributed his numerous successes, achievements, cum unprecedented developments in Yagba Federal Constituency to the APC led government.
As the Chairman of the House Committee on Custom and Excise, he has contributed to the success of the Nigeria Customs Service, increasing the revenue base.
We in NCAYC seize this medium to call on Elder Leke Abejide to consider contesting for 3rd term under the APC, as this will further renew the strength of the North Central in the political map of Nigeria.
Comrades Alfa Ebune (Kogi), Olaifa Muyiwa (Kwara), Mohammed Shaibu (Nassarawa), Nandi Jacob (Plateau), Emaikwu John (Benue), Sheyilo Musa (FCT) led youths of their various zones/states to the meeting and unanimously agreed.
