Absence of Form, Account Details Stall Lawal Beyero’s Bid to Purchase APC Expression of Interest Form

The effort by presidential aspirant Alhaji Lawal Beyero to obtain the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Expression of Interest Form was stalled on Monday due to the unavailability of the form and the party’s official payment details.
Speaking to journalists on April 27, 2026, at the party’s National Secretariat, Beyero said he could not proceed with the purchase process as neither the form nor the designated account details for payment were accessible.
The APC had earlier announced April 25, 2026, as the official commencement date for the sale of Expression of Interest forms, prompting Beyero’s visit to the secretariat. However, upon arrival, he was reportedly informed by a protocol staff member in the Office of the Organizing Secretary that the materials required to complete the process were not yet available.
This development has sparked concerns among political observers regarding the party’s preparedness and transparency in making the forms available to all interested aspirants. As of the time of reporting, there has been no official statement from the party addressing the issue.
Despite the setback, Beyero expressed optimism that the APC would uphold its reputation as a law-abiding party and ensure a fair and level playing field for all aspirants seeking to exercise their constitutional rights.
A founding member of the APC, Beyero also reflected on the party’s evolution, noting that many of its early members—once considered part of the youth demographic have matured and continue to contribute meaningfully to its growth since 2014.
