Adebanji Appeals to co-contestants to close rank for Ododo/Joel’s victory

By Sunday Ajayi – Lokoja

A Chieftain of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) and former Governorship aspirant in Kogi State, Adebanji David Jimoh has appealed to all his co-contestants in the recently conducted Governorship primary election to close ranks and support the candidate of the party, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman and Comrade Joel Salisu Oyibo for the victory of the party in the November 11 election.

The Kabba born banker turned politician disclosed this in an interview held shortly after the launching of Okun United for Ododo 2023 project in Kabba.

He said 18 of them bought the party Governorship forms despite the fact that the seat of a Governor of any state is one, stressing that no matter what happens it is one person that will occupy the seat.

He noted that the party now has a candidate in Ododo/Joel, appealing to his co-contestants to let go of any petty issues that might have happened during the last primary and rally round the candidate of the party.

He assured that the mandate of the Okun people is to deliver a hundred percent to the APC come November 11, stressing that they will leave no stone unturned to achieve the set goal of victory in the election.

He used the opportunity once again to appreciate Governor Yahaya Bello on the recently established Kogi State University, Kabba, urging the people to see the institution like the Igala people hold the one in Ayingba as their own project.

Adebanji urged the people of Okun land to reciprocate the kind gesture by voting en-masse for the party, pointing out that the movement will take the campaign to all the nooks and crannies of the area.
