Aftermaths Governorship Tribunal Verdict, Kogi IPAC Says Enough of cases after election, wants political parties to accept verdict.

… Calls on peaceful coexistence, insists election in all climes, bounds to have misconceptions, imperfections, agitations.

… Wants Local Government Election be conducted as soon as possible.

The Inter Party Advisory Council , Kogi State Chapter, says enough of cases after election.

The Council, an Umbrella body of all registered political parties in Nigeria, Kogi State Chapter says it has become germane to advise political parties, politicians, security agencies, professionals, traditional rulers, the clergy and all stakeholders in Kogi State that enough is
Enough of cases after election.

Addressing a Press Conference in Lokoja, the State Chairman of Ipac, Hon Iliyas Badanga State IPAC Chairman, called for peaceful coexistence, pointing out that in an election in all climes, there are bounds to have misconceptions, imperfections, agitations.

He mentioned that while it is
necessary to ventilate grievances araising from elevation to determine the actual winner of
the election, congratulated the winner after a
thorough ventilation of the process of the law by the judiciary.

According to Hon. Badanga, ” the
tribunal’s verdict by declaring the APC candidate, Alh Ahmed Usman Ododo as the duely elected Governor of the election held on the 11th November, 2023 remains apt”, advised all the political parties in the state to
accept the verdict of the tribunal.

“The political parties under IPAC has unequivocally and unanimously
agreed to move the State forward”.

“Our State has been
drawn backward from development because of series of contestation of
political cases after all the elections, since the beginning of democratic
governance in Kogi State”.

” We make bold to say “this is unhealthy politically
for development”, said IPAC Kogi State Chapter, wish to advise all political parties for the first
time to show resilience, sacrifice and patriotism not to drag the State
further into more cases in court because of the entire Kogites that are
yearning to have a prosperous State of our dream.

“This is not to be misconstrued as cowardice by the political parties, but to prevent more wastage of tax-payer’s money and individuals hard earned
resources”.

“Leadership is ordained by God Almighty divinely on “Time and
chance”, said it is on this note that IPAC is appealing for calm and determination to
allow the winner of the election as declared by the tribunal to face development frontally.

IPAC appealed to Gov. Ododo, the winner to be magnanimous in victory by forming a State of unity where the political parties are carried along to contribute their quota in Kogi State”.

IPAC said following the expiration of the tenure of Local
Government Administration in the State, advised that
another Local Government Election be conducted as soon as possible for the third tier of government to feel the dividend of
democracy.

IPAC called on the Governor to deliver
dividends of democracy to the three senatorial districts on equal bases to
consolidate on the peaceful Coexistence where ethnicity, religion and
sectionalism has no place under his leadership.
