Again Ankpa 1 Assembly lawmaker award N4M scholarship to 34 College of Education Students

As part of efforts to ensuring education for all in his constituency especially the children from the less privileged homes, the lawmaker representing Ankpa I in the Kogi State House of Assembly has awarded N4Milllion scholarship to some students in Kogi State College of Education, Ankpa.

It could be recalled that, the first time Kogi State House of Assembly Lawmaker some months back awarded N4.8Million to some beneficiaries of Hon. Akus Lawal scholarship scheme in his constituency.

Hon. Akus, described education as an everlasting gift to humanity, adding that, he intends to do more for the people of his constituency.

Matching his words with action, Hon. Akus presented a check of five hundred thousand naira (N500,000) initial deposit of four million naira (N4,000,000) for the sponsorship of 34 Ankpa1 students in the College.

He enjoined the students to take their studies seriously and as well be a good ambassadors of the school and indeed Ankpa community.

While tasking them to utilize the opportunity judiciously, the serving lawmaker appealed to the rest to have faith in his administration as he remains committed in enrolling more beneficiaries.

Responding to this laudable gesture, the Provost of the College, Dr Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim lauded Hon. Akus for priotizing education in Ankpa Local Government.

He acknowledged that finding some students of the College worthy of earning scholarship is the best encouragement from a leader of his repute.

The Provost, however, thanked the Lawmaker for being a major partner of the school, just as he prayed God grant him everlasting joy and happiness.
