AIG YETUNDE LONGE APPOINTED AS FORCE SECRETARY, AIG IDOWU OWOHUNWA REDEPLOYED TO HEAD INTERPOL, NBC
The Inspector General of Police, Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun NPM, PhD, has approved the Posting of AIG Yetunde Longe as the Force Secretary. AIG Longe takes over from AIG Yomi Oladimeji, who retired from the Nigeria Police Force, having served a meritorious country for 35 years. AIG Longe is the Secretary of the Nigeria Police Force; she will oversee the secretariat functions of the Force Headquarters while ensuring that policies and directives of the Inspector General of Police are implemented. She will coordinate senior officers’ affairs equally, including posting promotions, queries of senior officers, and processing of retirements of senior officers from service.

In the same vein, AIG Idowu Owohunwa, a highly respected officer, has been redeployed by the Inspector General Police to head the Interpol National Central Bureau (NBC) at the Force Criminal Investigations Department (FCID) in Abuja. The AIG’s crucial task is to enhance Nigeria’s Position and cooperation with the International Police as well as fulfil its obligations within the global Interpol framework. The Inspector General of Police, while applauding the dedication of these officers to duty, emphasises their new duty post is a testament to their exceptional abilities and the trust reposed on their capabilities
